Some lines in my current status in Facebook says:

I am so far away from Menzoberranzan, my Home and with all those hazardous trips after the Exile, I still feel the hazard in this Sojourn…in the lands of human. My entry to Photo a day September Day 3: Far Away. You’ll never be in Sojourn if you are not Far Away home.

I am so far away from Menzoberranzan because I am now in Sojourn, the third book in R.A. Salvatore’s Dark Elf Trilogy. I’ve read only a few chapters in this final book and it was all dangers Drizz’t had faced that I’ve read. I can’t wait to finish it but I am at the same time sad for I’ll miss Drizz’t.  Reading this book made me feel like I too have grown up with Drizz’t in Menzoberranzan. It made me feel like I was with Drizz’t from the moment he was born in his Homeland to his Exile and finally to his Sojourn. It felt like I was beside him all along his journey as one of his sidekicks. R.A. Salvatore succeeded in putting a connection between me, a reader and Drizz’t, the main character he created in this book.

Dark Elf Trilogy tells about the life of a young drow or dark elf named Drizz’t Do’Urden who voluntarily exiled himself from all the harm and evil deeds of his own family and all of his kind in his homeland Menzoberranzan. Having faced all the hazards during his trips  in the wilderness of the Underdark during his exile, outside and far far away from his so-called home Menzoberranzan, Drizz’t grew stronger and mightier outwitting and defeating every monsters that cross his paths with the help of his faithful friend Guenhwyvar, a magical phanter.

And now in the final book Sojourn, he reached the end of the Underdark and landed on the lands of human where he took temporary refuge hoping to find one being that would accept him but yet again he had faced more dangers. What will happen to Drizz’t in the world of human? What more dangers are there that he needs to surpass? I’ll find it out.
